Asset Management
Beat Bass worked with HSBC Guyerzeller Bank for 18 years, initially holding various functions within the trading department and later serving as asset manager in the rank of Director and member of the investment committee. He holds the Federal Diploma of Portfolio Manager and Financial Analyst. Beat Bass is a founding member of Bellecapital and responsible for Strategy, Finance and IT.
Mark Eberle built up the Investment Banking division of Barclays in Switzerland and served as CEO of Barclays Capital Switzerland, for 9 years. His previous employers were Salomon Brothers, Credit Suisse and ABN Amro for which he worked in New York, Hong Kong and London. As founding member of Bellecapital, Mark Eberle is responsible for Marketing and, together with Beat Bass, the Strategic Positioning of the company.
Luca Fayd’herbe is a former competitive rower with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen. During his time at the university, he co-founded the Athletes Club, an initiative aimed at connecting athletes with industry professionals. After graduating, Luca began his career as an intern in our Asset Management department while simultaneously preparing for his ambitious goal of rowing across the Atlantic Ocean in 2025. Now a full-time employee at Bellecapital, Luca continues to contribute to our Asset Management team while also pursuing his CFA certification.
Georg Forster worked for various independent asset managers in the Zurich area after his business degree in Banking and Finance at the college of higher education Winterthur. During this time, he was able to gain valuable experience in FX trading and trade execution and was responsible for currency hedging. At Bellecapital, he is in charge of controlling, cash management and the implementation of new strategies and products on the portfolio and risk management platform.
Marco Guldener joined the asset management arm of Bellecapital in 2017 and serves institutional clients in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. He is a CFA Charterholder since 2022. After finishing his Master’s degree in economics at the University of Zurich in 2015, Marco worked as a Client Relationship Manager at Leonteq Securities AG, where he also completed a rigorous one-year Graduate Trainee Program. During his early career, he also held a private assistant role at the University of Zurich supporting the “Commodity Trading” lecture and founded the Zurich-based CMDTY Club
Mathias Heim started his career at UBS and gained further experience working at LGT and Barclays Capital. Prior to joining Bellecapital, he was employed as an investment manager at a Zurich based Hedge Fund, where he was responsible for the management of a commodity portfolio. He graduated from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) with a major in Finance. In his capacity as Chief Investment Officer, he is responsible for the investment process within Bellecapital.
Xinyue Hou is an Asian investment specialist. Her learning, living and working experiences in China, the United States and Switzerland make her a global-minded investment expert with a deep understanding of diverse cultures. Her background includes a China Hedge Fund working experience, close relationships with institutional investors and companies’ management teams in Asia. She holds a master’s degree from University of St. Gallen (HSG). At Bellecapital, she works as portfolio manager for the firm’s two Asian funds.
Before joining Bellecapital, Andreas Kringlen worked as an analyst and portfolio manager for Pictet Asset Management in London, Hong Kong and Zurich. Most of his times was spent investing in Global Emerging Market Equities. He graduated with a master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and was a visiting fellow at MIT Sloan School of Management. Additionally, Andreas is a CFA charterholder.
Christian Kuersteiner heads up the asset management entity and serves institutional clients at Bellecapital since 2016. Before that, he was responsible for building up and running portfolio management at our SEC-registered entity for 2 years. He holds a Master’s degree in Quantitative Economics and Finance from the University of St. Gallen, with an exchange term spent at Cornell University in the U.S. Additionally, he is a CFA® charterholder.
Hugo Lellouche joined Bellecapital in 2024 as a Client Relationship Manager, where he is responsible for heading up the structural development of our fund business in the Romandie market. Hugo began his career at Carmignac Asset Management with further positions at Edmond de Rothschild and Ostrum Asset Management acting as a product specialist for various equity and fixed income funds. He holds a master degree in Sustainable Finance and recently enhanced his strategic and managerial skills by earning an MBA from INSEAD in France and Singapore.
Starting his career in an M&A boutique with focus on specialty chemicals company transactions, Cyrill Plüss last worked as Equity Research Analyst at Kepler Capital Markets in Zurich. During his three years at Kepler, he mainly covered Swiss technology stocks. He graduated from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) with a major in Finance. At Bellecapital, Cyrill is engaged in portfolio management and the investment process.
