Johannes graduated from the University of St.Gallen with a Bachelor in Business Administration. Besides working at Bellecapital, he is currently pursuing a Master degree in Accounting and Finance. During his undergraduate studies, Johannes did various internships in audit and consulting. Working in asset management consulting, accounting advisory, and audit, he gained various insights into regulatory environments and projects. At Bellecapital, he will support the Risk, Legal and Compliance Team, reporting to the Head of Compliance.
Matthew started his financial career at HSBC in London as a Financial Planner in 2006, and after his holistic training moved to Merrill Lynch in 2008 solely looking after financial professionals across Europe, as an Investment Advisor and running the team. He joined UBS Switzerland as a Senior Relationship Manager in 2016 where he worked for nearly 7 years covering UK UHNW RND & RD clients. Matthew graduated with a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from the University of Liverpool in 2004.
Beat Bass worked with HSBC Guyerzeller Bank for 18 years, initially holding various functions within the trading department and later serving as asset manager in the rank of Director and member of the investment committee. He holds the Federal Diploma of Portfolio Manager and Financial Analyst. Beat Bass is a founding member of Bellecapital and responsible for Strategy, Finance and IT.
Sandra Bass took care of all banking transactions for an international and demanding clientele in the sense of a family office at HSBC Guyerzeller Bank AG for 20 years. She was also responsible for training new employees. Today Sandra is responsible for HR at the Bellecapital Group (HR certificate HRSE) and is responsible for the office organization. She also acquired a diploma as a diamond specialist in Antwerp (HRD) in 2021.
Cornelia Blank joined Bellecapital Ltd. as Executive Director in October 2023 and mainly serves Swiss clients in all financial matters. Previously, she worked for 13 years at Bank Lombard Odier & Co AG, 3 years at Coutts Bank and 11 years at Bank Vontobel AG in the same position. In addition to a degree in Business Economist KSZH and as a Certified Wealth Management Advisor (CWMA), she has more than 30 years of experience in financial consulting and wealth management. Together with Christophe Federli, she has been assisting clients for over 20 years.
Christina Blattmann has been supporting Bellecapital for many years in variousfunctions, including previously as a Compliance Associate at Bellecapital International. She is currently available to her colleagues with all her expertise wherever it is needed. She gained her professional experience over many years as a Senior Executive Assistant at the international management consultancy BCG in Zurich.
Karin Brogle has more than 30 years of experience in private banking. She started her career at Credit Suisse in Geneva and Zurich in Portfolio Management. She then moved to the private client business. After more than 12 years at CS, she left to join Lombard Odier, where she worked in Private Banking for the last 16 years, mainly serving Swiss clients. During several years she also headed a team. Karin holds a Master of Advanced Studies in Fiancial Consultant. She is also CWMA certified. At Bellecapital she takes care of Swiss clients.
After completing his studies in St. Gallen, Werner Diehl began his career in commercial lending in North- and South America. At HSBC Guyerzeller Bank he moved on to the private client business. There he was responsible for the Anglo-Saxon markets and for many years a member of the Executive Committee. Together with Beat Bass he is the founder of Bellecapital. Today, Werner looks after a number of clients and sits on the company’s board of directors.
Mark Eberle built up the Investment Banking division of Barclays in Switzerland and served as CEO of Barclays Capital Switzerland, for 9 years. His previous employers were Salomon Brothers, Credit Suisse and ABN Amro for which he worked in New York, Hong Kong and London. As founding member of Bellecapital, Mark Eberle is responsible for Marketing and, together with Beat Bass, the Strategic Positioning of the company.
Tobias Faes worked with UBS for 10 years, holding various functions within the Bank. Prior to joining Bellecapital, he was leading the UBS Global Wealth Management Client Development Team and served as the Executive Relationship Manager to the Co-President of UBS Global Wealth Management. At Bellecapital International, Tobias is responsible for management and also supports Bellecapital as a whole with the company's growth ambitions by handling Strategic Client and Business Development.
Christophe Federli joined Bellecapital AG as Executive Director in October 2023 and mainly serves Swiss clients in all financial matters. Previously, he spent 13 years at Bank Lombard Odier & Co. AG and 8 years at Coutts Bank in the same position, partly with management responsibility. In addition to a degree as Financial Consultant ZHW, as Business Economist HKG and as Certified Wealth Management Advisor (CWMA), he has more than 30 years of experience in financial consulting and wealth management. Together with Cornelia Blank, he has been supporting clients for over 20 years.
Frédéric Gans began his career as risk manager with investment bank CSFB and has been working in the asset management business for well over 20 years. During that time he made an excellent name for himself in managing big and complex client relationships, first with Merrill Lynch and later with HSBC Guyerzeller Bank. At Bellecapital, Frédéric Gans is responsible for the management of extensive client assets.
Nico Habegger worked for Coutts & Co and Falcon Private Bank before working for Lombard Odier as a private banking assistant for 7 years. He holds a Master of Advanced Studies in Banking & Finance. At Bellecapital, Nico is responsible for client acquisition and relationship management since 2023.
Mathias Heim started his career at UBS and gained further experience working at LGT and Barclays Capital. Prior to joining Bellecapital, he was employed as an investment manager at a Zurich based Hedge Fund, where he was responsible for the management of a commodity portfolio. He graduated from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) with a major in Finance. In his capacity as Chief Investment Officer, he is responsible for the investment process within Bellecapital.
Peter Hoff joined Bellecapital following a 25 year career at HSBC Group, where he last held the position of Managing Director at HSBC Guyerzeller Bank. Among his many achievements he helped establish Trinkhaus und Burkhardt Schweiz. Before joining HSBC, he worked for Credit Suisse in New York, Hong Kong and Luxembourg. At Bellecapital Peter Hoff takes care of multinational clients.
Dr. Martin Jetzer was Chief Economist with HSBC Guyerzeller Bank for 25 years and as the bank’s Chief Investment Officer responsible for the investment strategy. Additionally, he was a member of the Executive Committee. Martin Jetzer is a co- founder of Switzerland's leading academic financial journal "Financial Markets and Portfolio Management" and member of a well-respected US professional organization. Martin is a Member of the Board and serves as Senior Economic Advisor of Bellecapital AG.
Lukas Lütjens began his career with Credit Suisse and subsequently worked as asset manager with HSBC Guyerzeller Bank for 32 years, ten of them as a member of the Executive Committee. At Bellecapital, Lukas Lütjens works as asset manager.
After his studies, Anthony Matthey joined UBS Switzerland AG, where over an 8 year period he was responsible for Eastern Europe and Middle East clients. At Bellecapital, along with the team, he is in charge of private client acquisition, investment advice and relationship management.
After his studies Daniele Menghini started his career in private banking more than 25 years ago. He has been working for different financial institutions, including HSBC Guyerzeller Bank where he spent 8 years in the rank of a Director. At Bellecapital Daniele Menghini is an asset manager taking care of a multinational clientele.
Livia Mühlheim graduated from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) with a Bachelor's degree in Economics in 2023. During her studies, she gained extensive practical and theoretical knowledge in financial markets through several internships and an exchange semester at the University of Copenhagen. She interned in Audit at KPMG and worked as a Consultant Intern at UNITY. Currently, Livia is a Junior Associate at Bellecapital where she is rotating through various departments while completing her Master's in Accounting and Corporate Finance (MACFin).
Starting his career in an M&A boutique with focus on specialty chemicals company transactions, Cyrill Plüss last worked as Equity Research Analyst at Kepler Capital Markets in Zurich. During his three years at Kepler, he mainly covered Swiss technology stocks. He graduated from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) with a major in Finance. At Bellecapital, Cyrill is engaged in portfolio management and the investment process.
David Roth worked with UBS for 13 years, holding various functions within the Bank. Prior to joining Bellecapital, he was responsible for Swiss clients within UBS Wealth Management for 6 years. He holds a Master of Advanced Studies in Finance from the University of Zurich. At Bellecapital David is responsible for private client acquisition and relationship management since 2017.
Jan Ruzicka began his professional career in 2009 at a Swiss private bank in the Asset and Portfolio Management sector. As a Portfolio Manager, he was responsible for maintaining client relationships and managing portfolios for Central European clients. In 2013, he joined UBS as a Senior Relationship Manager, focusing on UHNWI clients from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. At Bellecapital, Jan is primarily responsible for developing the Central European market and managing high-net-worth clients from this region. Jan graduated from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) with a focus on Finance.
Valentina Schwarz worked for around 6 years in leading business law firms in Zurich. She holds a Master of Arts in Law and Economics from the University of St.Gallen and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Compliance in Financial Services. She is Head of Compliance at Bellecapital.
Martin Spiller is a Senior Wealth Manager with over two decades of experience in Private Banking. Prior to joining Bellecapital, Martin served for 17 years UHNW clients at UBS as an Executive Director. At Bellecapital, Martin is primarily responsible for developing the Central European market and managing wealthy clients from this region. Martin holds two master’s degrees, a Master of Science (MSc) in Wealth Management from the University of Rochester and a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Finance from the University of Bern.
Silvia Wettstein worked with Credit Suisse and Daiwa, subsequently serving as Vice President / Asset Management of HSBC Guyerzeller Bank for over 10 years. Together with Frédéric Gans she looks after the complex family assets of Bellecapital.
While still studying business administration and pursuing a sporting career as a handball goalkeeper in Switzerland's top leagues, Roman Wyss began his professional career at Credit Suisse. He then spent in total twenty-two years at the former Bank Leu/Clariden Leu and Bank Lombard Odier, where he was mainly responsible for Swiss clients. At Bellecapital, he is responsible for the acquisition of new clients as well as investment advice and relationship management.
